Pisces Season began on February 18th and will come to a close on March 20th. The whirlwind of this Aquarius Season before it seemingly plunged us into a dystopian reality. Many have been wondering, “How did we get here?” and “Did we land on the wrong timeline?” Even if those sentiments originated in November 2024, they certainly accelerated last month.

Jupiter in Gemini just moved direct! Jupiter is the giver of luck and expansion on our planetary team and is a VIP (very important player) in manifestation work. When he's in the sign of Gemini, there's an element of play in tandem with another, like being on a see-saw or engaged in friendly banter. 

Yesterday marked the official end of the Dragon year in the Chinese Zodiac and the beginning of the Snake year. My acupuncturist, Stephanie Dixon, told me that the end of Dragon Years tends to be a firestorm, and we've unfortunately seen how devastating that can be as LA heals from the worst fires on record.

Aquarius season is already off to a dystopian start. As the sun moved into the sign that rules global technology, TikTok was shut down AND subsequently “saved” in the US. Themes of security concerns and data manipulation were the apparent reasons for the ban, but ultimately the app shutdown was used as a pawn in an American popularity contest. 

I spent my early teen years huddled over a Y mag, reading my horoscope and taking quizzes, daydreaming for this very moment (It dawned on her… did little Alex manifest this very moment?) 

Capricorn season gets both the quiet reflection of end of year AND the foresight and enthusiasm of the new year. I can’t help but compare it to the strategic, holistic way Capricorns think. It’s chess not checkers, honey.

In my maternity leave, I’ve had a lot of hands full time where my brain could wander. I knew that it was important for me to be present while also holding space…for the lyrics of Defying Gravity. (JK JK I was holding space for my child, my new identity, my new relationship, my new desires, etc…)
