Pisces Season Forecast: Endings and Beginnings
Pisces Season began on February 18th and will come to a close on March 20th. The whirlwind of this Aquarius Season before it seemingly plunged us into a dystopian reality. Many have been wondering, “How did we get here?” and “Did we land on the wrong timeline?” Even if those sentiments originated in November 2024, they certainly accelerated last month.
This Pisces season (water sign), I've been thinking about the “flood the zone” football turned-media strategy. This is the tactic of the current administration, and I likely don’t need to remind you that every day, there's a new horrific headline, and another support structure is crumbling. The use of this tactic is to “flood” the newsfeeds so that there’s so much to cover that no one can figure out how to cover while the actual play is emerging elsewhere.
The problem is that this tactic also floods our nervous system with too much cortisol. We’re not meant to live in fight or flight 24/7, and our bodies are begging us to ease up on the gas.
Please let Pisces season be the permission you need to hit the breaks. We cannot function personally or collectively if we’re in burnout. Your act of resistance is to take good care of yourself. This season asks you to get the perspective you so desperately need.
Pisces, the final sign of the zodiac, is a natural observer, picking up on what’s in the ether. This season, we’re invited to integrate all the wisdom we’ve gathered over the past Astrological year. This season marks a time of transition, closure, and liminality—a space between endings and new beginnings.
Once you have personal perspective, you can hear your own intuition and tune into frequencies again. In the coming weeks, I’d like to explore the “rule of threes” I use to tune into the collective's energy for my development and my service role.
Now for the key dates:
February 23rd: Mars, the planet of action, stations direct, ending its retrograde in Cancer that began on December 6th. This day marks a turning point, bringing relief as Mars begins moving forward again. Mars rules our drive, passion, and energy and has been in Cancer, so it contributed to feeling extra defensive or passive-aggressive. As Mars moves past the 17th degree on Saturday, March 8th (in conjunction with the moon in Cancer), it will start to gain momentum, and you’ll likely feel a renewed sense of clarity and purpose.
Whatever area of your life Mars has been transiting (check your chart to see which house Cancer rules for you) will be where this newfound energy and drive become most noticeable. This day can bring massive relief—or at least the idea of it. Perhaps it’s the feeling that you’ve discovered the right course of action or path forward. Maybe it’s knowing that the worst battles are over… for now. And now there’s an open door or window you hadn’t noticed before.
This is the point in the journey where the hero stands on high ground and re-engages in the battle with more certainty and strategy. Strategy can also look like leaving the field, having realized they were in the wrong battle, war, or side. When done with clarity and honor, any of these actions are respectable choices.
February 27th: While not an Eclipse, the Pisces New Moon on February 27th is said to open the Eclipse portal, as it precedes the Lunar Eclipse in Virgo. This lunar month will center around deepening our relationship with the mysterious and learning to bridge the transcendental with the mundane—Merging spirit with matter. More on this later.
March 1st to April 12th: Venus Retrograde begins in fiery Aries and moonwalks back into sensitive Pisces. Aries - a sign known for passion, excitement, and impulsivity - loves the chaseetrograessentialimportant to guard against impetuous or aggressive during this retrograde behavior, especially in relationships. When Venus moves back into Pisces, a sign associated with kindness, compassion, and intuition, be mindful of wishy-washy decisions or weak boundaries. Remember to honor your boundaries and stand firm in your truth—don’t let others take advantage of your compassionate nature. Your kindness is a gift, but it’s equally important to protect your energy and ensure it’s reciprocated.
Venus Retrograde is an excellent time to reflect on relationships, finances, and self-worth. Are your partnerships balanced or one-sided? Are you holding onto old flames when it’s time to let go? Is your spending irresponsible, or are you too tight-fisted? Do you seek validation from others, or can you fully accept yourself as you are? These are powerful questions to ponder during this transit.
March 14th: The first Eclipse of the season takes place, marking the first Eclipse in Virgo since 2016. As we continue walking our spiritual paths and deepening our trust in ourselves, our intuition, and Life, this event reminds us of the importance of observation. Conjunct with the South Node and tightly opposing Saturn in Pisces, this Eclipse offers an opportunity for us to confront fears, release habits, behaviors, beliefs, and ways of being that no longer support our physical, mental, and emotional health.
March 15th to April 26th: Mercury Retrograde in Aries and Pisces kicks off the first Mercury Retrograde for 2025. This retrograde is particularly significant as Neptune, the planetary ruler of Pisces, moves out of its home sign and into Aries for the next 19 years. Aries, known for its “me first” and warrior-like energy, contrasts sharply with Neptune’s dreamy, peace-loving, and creative influence. Mercury Retrograde in Aries may bring identity confusion, especially in areas of your chart ruled by Aries. This transit encourages a reassessment of how you balance individuality with collective needs, urging you to consider merging with others or prioritizing group interests over personal desires.
March 19th: We’ll experience the final Sun-Neptune conjunction in Pisces of our lifetime, as Neptune will move into Aries during Pisces Season in 2026. This year, the Sun and Neptune meet at 29º’ of Pisces—the last degree of the sign and the entire zodiac.
This conjunction amplifies our sensitivity, intuition, and connection to the unseen, dissolving the boundaries between ourselves and others. It’s a powerful invitation to surrender control and trust that, even amidst uncertainty, we are exactly where we need to be.
As a significant chapter comes to an end, we’re called to release illusions, attachments, and outdated ways of being that keep us tied to the past. This final Sun-Neptune conjunction in Pisces marks a threshold—a portal into the unknown. It’s a potent opportunity to let go of what no longer serves us and step forward with trust and faith.
