An Easy Hack for Figuring Out Your Purpose
My friend Mackenzie and wax poetical on the journey of entrepreneurship this week on the podcast. One perhaps unexpected detail about WFH business ownership is that your partner can be your reluctant co-worker. And as a result, give you very different energy than your bestie you walked to lunch with everyday. Spoiler alert: we each chose a partner with a prominent Virgo placement, skilled at “editing” our ideas, not necessarily jumping up and down with us when we come up with something briliant. Bollucks!

The reason why I mention this - reflecting on who you are in a relationship and conversely, what you need to balance you out is not only important in a micro sense, but it also stretches macro. For instance, if you, like Mackenzie and I, are usually the first person that people tell their new idea to, this can help you serve humanity. You can make sure to be in a role that allows your infectious energy to help people get started or get past the initial hard step of a project. You can do this is a myriad of different ways, considering your natural talents and skillsets.
I invite you to think about who you are to your friends, family and co-workers. It's an easy way to identify your “Zone of Genius,” the loving term coined by Gay Hendricks in the Big Leap.
Make sure to listen to this week's episode to hear more from Mackenzie, including BTS of a private cheffing and the viral post documenting the job, how to have a healthier relationship with food (especially sugar) and why saying no to unaligned projects is a gift / ultimate help to society.
