Have You Ever Been Personally Attacked By Your Horoscope?
A few weeks ago, I was unpacking a horoscope with a client who was feeling a bit anxious about the week ahead. (The Astrology app shall remain nameless, lol). The way it was worded was slightly alarmist so she wondered if she should cancel an upcoming important doctors appointment.
Upon further review of said horoscope (aka double checking the transits myself) we found out that she was reading her horoscope for last week and the scary transit in question had already passed.
So I asked her - how did you feel that day? What happened? And she said it was actually a really lovely, uneventful day.
Ah the double edged sword of predictive Astrology! We do our best to inform and yet, bracing for impact changes our experience of reality. Plot twist!
I call this the Doctor's Office Phenomenon. When you know the shot/blood draw is coming and are watching them do it with a clenched muscle, the impact hurts more. But if you're completely relaxed and at ease, it likely feels like a little prick. Nothin.
So how do you hold the balance of staying informed but not bracing for impact?
Not to toot our own horn, but I think we tow the line really nicely here at Capricorn Rising Inc. Our quarterly horoscopes, now reserved for coaching clients, are given with just enough information to help you focus the next three months. Very “here's the theme, here's how that impacts the goals you've been working on, here's what you don't need to bring into the fold, etc.” But not “don't do anything in April because of Mercury RX."
Excited to help you reach your goals using Astrology and other tried and true practical and intuitive coaching methods!
